Is herbal tea safe in pregnancy?

Herbal tea in pregnancy and while breastfeeding

Please ask your doctor first. We do not recommend our blends during pregnancy without that conversation.

01 Why we are cautious

Fenugreek and gurmar have traditional uses that make them unsuitable in pregnancy without medical advice, and cinnamon in larger amounts is also usually avoided. In food quantities these are common, but a daily infusion is more concentrated than a pinch in a curry.

02 If you are breastfeeding

Fenugreek is traditionally used to support milk supply, but it can also affect blood sugar. Again, ask your doctor or lactation consultant before making it a daily habit.

03 The honest answer

There is no research on these specific blends in pregnancy. When the evidence is thin, we say so.

Vanmool infusions are food products, not medicines. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or managing a medical condition, please speak to your doctor before use. This page is general information, not medical advice.
